Dripping Faucet is established by artist/printmaker Rie Hasegawa from Tokyo, Japan. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. 

Printmaking and drawing are her media of choice. Her work often depicts human or human-like figures intertwined in condensed spaces. Often, through creating her art, something of the psyche is revealed and subconscious activities of the mind are recorded without her cognitive interaction.

In recent years she has focused her art on social, environmental and political issues she feels the world needs to focus on. Her message is simple - “what goes around, comes around”. She uses ironic and whimsical interpretations to show that the crises we are creating in the world keep coming back to haunt us. Her work seeks to generate questions and conversations that provoke consciousness and awareness of social and environmental issues that can otherwise be easily ignored. She is fueled by her own empathy toward all living creatures as well as the terrors that threaten our own kind.

All prints are hand-pulled and limited editions.
